How to Take Care Of Your Sex Toys
Taking care of your sex toys like vibrators is easy if you know the basics. For example, if you do not feel or too lazy to clean your toy you can simply cover it with condom to maintain its moisture. However, if you want to experience the pleasure of your toy without using a condom, clean it carefully. Here are some guidelines and tips:
- Most sex toys can be cleaned with a mild soap or special sex toy cleaner.
- Stay away from strong detergents as they will breakdown the material of many dildos.
- Rinse waterproof sex toys with hot water.
- Submerge your sex toy with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to disinfect it.
- Do not submerge your electrical vibrator in water. If your toy is not waterproof give your toy a "sponge bath" with a soapy wet cloth.
- Dry thoroughly. Most germs cannot live on a dry surface
- It is best to wash your toy directly before and after use.
- Always clean your toys before sharing with a partner.
- Silicone dildos can be set in boiling water for two minutes or run through your dishwasher.
- Rubber dildos absorb more dirt than silicone, so you should use condoms with rubber dildos. Wash with hot water and soap between uses.
- Do not submerge battery-operated or electric toys in water. Clean under running water, being careful not to let water get inside the vibrator.
